Emission measurement activity using the specific tools for monitoring and analysing GHG emissions in sanitation sector
Through the Indonesia-Australia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT), Australia is working with Indonesia's Ministry of Public Works to deliver the Emissions Measurement to Improve Sanitation in Indonesia (EMISI) project. On October 2, 2024, EMISI measures emissions from various sanitation systems in Indonesia and helps inform policies to reduce their environmental impact.
The EMISI project brings together experts from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), the University of New South Wales (UNSW), the University of Indonesia (UI), the University of Leeds, and Indonesia’s Centre for Regulation, Policy and Governance (CRPG) to better understand and manage the emissions from these sanitation systems, contributing to more informed climate policies for a sustainable future.
