Australian Deputy Ambassador Gita Kamath handed over the Urban Mobility Masterplan to the Nusantara Capital Authority, marking a key step in supporting integrated and intelligent transport planning through KIAT.
Indonesia’s future capital city, Nusantara, is aiming for net-zero emissions by 2045 — with a bold target for 80% of its mobility to be served by integrated public transport. As part of this vision, Australia is supporting Indonesia in building a smart and sustainable transport system.
Gita Kamath, the Australian Embassy’s Deputy Ambassador, officially handed over the Urban Mobility Masterplan to Bimo Adi Nursanthyasto, the Secretary of the Nusantara Capital Authority, witnessed by Abdul Malik Sadat, Deputy for Infrastructure at Bappenas. Developed through KIAT, the Masterplan and accompanying report on an Intelligent Mobility Ecosystem outlines a phased 20-year strategy to deliver efficient, reliable and integrated mobility services.
The plan draws on both current and emerging smart mobility technologies to guide the development of Nusantara’s transport system. This collaboration reflects Australia’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s ambition to build a sustainable and future-ready capital city.
