KIAT and PT SMI formed a joint partnership to develop a USD 250 million Climate Finance Facility supporting Indonesia’s transition from diesel to renewable energy in outer regions.
KIAT entered a Joint Working Partnership with one of Indonesia’s main infrastructure financing enterprises (PT SMI) for the design and implementation of a Climate Finance Facility which will help support the transition of electrification in the outer regions of Indonesia from diesel to small-scale renewable energy generation.
The collaboration with PT SMI focuses on developing a USD 250 million blended financing platform, with contributions from the Green Climate Fund (USD 125 million) and other co-financiers.
