Australian Consul General in Surabaya Visits Inclusive Infrastructure in Alassapi Village, East Java

Australian Consul General Glen Askew joined Acting Bupati Ugas Irwanto in presenting Alassapi Village's new inclusive regulation.

The Probolinggo District is one of the 10 districts where KIAT’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Infrastructure (GESIT) program has been working with local government and civil society to promote gender-inclusive and disability-inclusive regulations for infrastructure.

On 29 October 2024, the Australian Consul General in Surabaya, Glen Askew joined the Acting Bupati of Probolinggo, Ugas Irwanto, for the public dissemination of an inclusive village regulation recently adopted in Alassapi Village. The Alassapi Village is the first village in the district of Probolinggo to adopt an inclusive village regulation, helping to improve accessibility to public facilities.
