A Decade of Indonesia - Australia Sanitation Innovation in Indonesia

KIAT celebrated a decade of Indonesia–Australia collaboration and innovation in the water and sanitation sectors. The event highlighted joint programs to improve access to modern wastewater services, boosting public health and strengthening environmental protection across Indonesia.

The ceremony was attended by the Australian Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires for Indonesia, Gita Kamath, Senior Adviser to the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Arif Rahmat, Deputy of Infrastructure Bappenas, Abdul Malik Sadat Idris, and Director General of Human Settlements at the MPW, Dewi Chomistriana. Bringing together around 170 participants from across multiple stakeholders, the event featured 2 talk shows highlighting key insights ranging from project implementation and community engagement to cross-sector collaboration, as well as future strategies and priorities to enhance sanitation services across Indonesia.
